karina's bags

Every bag is made, from cut to finish, entirely by myself. I seek out vintage trimmings every time I go abroad, and source my leathers very carefully, to ensure that each design has some unique feature. I will never use the same pattern more than ten times - even then, the design will be repeated in different leathers, with different trimmings.

I will update my website regularly, introducing at least one entirely new design at this point, thus satisfying our desire for all things new. The price of each bag is exactly that, for, as I try to do my meagre bit for the environment, I will not be spending money on fancy packaging and expensive printing, so you will probably get your bag delivered in a box from my latest purchase, I promise there will not be too many wine boxes!

"BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED" at the National Glass Centre, Liberty Way, Sunderland. 10 - 5 every day from the 25th of October until 22nd of February. Another selling exhibition with handmade products from different disciplines, including Hetty Rose's wonderful shoes, made from vintage silk Kimonos.(Have a sneaky preview at www.hettyrose.co.uk ) There is a preview and late night shopping on Friday 24th of October from 6pm till 8pm.

"FROST FAIR" Performance square, Gateshead. (just by the Sage) Crafts and music and dance from the Northern hemisphere, with visiting reindeer on Sunday! Friday 28th Nov, 3pm-8pm, Sat 29th Nov, 11am-7pm and Sun 30th Nov 11am-3pm

"NEWCASTLE CHRISTMAS MARKET" marquees around the monument and grey street selling gifts,unusual handcrafted objects and fine food. Friday 12th Dec 9am-6pm, Sat 13th Dec 9am-6pm and Sunday 14th 10am-5pm
